A group of people gather and talk

NH Small Business Development Center hosted its first ever Inclusivity Commitment and Networking event on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at the Greater Manchester Chamber. More than 90 small business owners, SBDC clients, community members, local leaders, and partners gathered to celebrate Manchester’s BIPOC business community. Attendees learned more about SBDC’s programs and services, and enjoyed networking, local food and art.

SBDC is committed to supporting small business owners from every walk of life and in every corner of the state. With support from the CARES Act and the SBA Community Navigator Pilot Program (CNPP), SBDC's Inclusivity Commitment goal is to serve even more BIPOC and New American businesses through individualized business advising and education. They could not have done this without the tireless outreach by their two Community Liaisons, Rafael Calderon and Lidia Yen and SBDC’s lead Inclusivity Commitment business advisor, Andrea O’Brien.

"This was a fantastic way to get many people interested in BIPOC businesses in Manchester all in the same room,” said James McKim, President, Manchester Branch of the NAACP. “The Manchester Chamber space was welcoming and provided the perfect location for the event. There was so much positive energy, the sense of belonging was palpable. We must do this again soon!"

The NH SBDC Team had so much fun and are ready to host more Inclusivity Commitment events in Nashua, Concord, and the Seacoast! Stay tuned for details!
