Launched in 2015 with a generous gift from Mel Rines ’47, the Mel Rines Student Angel Investment Fund at Paul College has spent the past decade giving undergraduates the rare opportunity to evaluate real startups, perform due diligence, and make investment decisions—experiences typically reserved for professionals or MBA students.
As the fund celebrates its 10th anniversary, its founder, Professor Jeffrey Sohl, is taking a step back from day-to-day operations, reflecting on how far the program has come—and where it’s headed next.
