Paul College DEI Committee

We cultivate a culturally responsive and inclusive organizational culture that makes all employees, students, and institutional partners feel valued by respecting, seeking out, and celebrating differences and systematically and constructively questioning the structure of power and privilege that can generate injustices and barriers for members of our community.

Our Mission

To accelerate the evolution of DEI at Paul College by collaborating across departments and disciplines, dedicating resources to DEI initiatives, and planning and executing events and training that inform and educate community members and enhance the student experience.

The DEI Committee supports this mission by:

  • Identifying and amplifying underrepresented perspectives
  • Examining college policies and procedures that disadvantage some groups, and recommending changes to address potential harm caused by such policies and procedures
  • Providing opportunities for engagement, education, and dialogue regarding issues related to diversity and inclusion
  • Operationalizing the college’s diversity goals by working with the dean to establish metrics
  • Assessing and Monitoring the college’s progress towards becoming a more inclusive community
