Multiple important themes about leadership and empowerment were explored during the Women in Business Conference held at Paul College on Friday, February 23.

Around 200 people attended the event, which was organized and run by UNH Women in Business. 

This year’s theme, "Lift as you lead," emphasized the importance of leadership extending beyond personal achievement. Accomplished women shared how they broke barriers and uplifted others, offering valuable insights from diverse backgrounds.

Keynote speaker Amy Pocsik, CEO and founder of Bold Moves and co-founder of Women’s Business League shared valuable insights on embracing uncertainty in pursuit of success.

She encouraged attendees to be bold and to figure out what their perfect life would be and start working towards it. Pocsik said life's too short to not be passionate about what you do and to give more power to your dreams than your fears. 

Other workshops and panels included: 

"Beyond the Business Cards: Authentic Networking" focused on building real relationships beyond just exchanging business cards, aiming to create meaningful partnerships. 

"From Mentees to Mentors" showed how mentoring can empower people to seek advice and help others, transforming both mentor and mentee. 

 "Women in Technology: Inspiration Through Representation" addressed the importance of increasing female representation in STEM fields to inspire future generations of women in tech. 

"The Art of Collaborative Leadership" discussed how working together and sharing ideas can lead to innovation and success in different industries.
