The Dean’s Office invites you to celebrate our community, the coming of winter, and the end of the year with hors d’oeuvres and holiday cheer!
This year’s holiday party will be held outdoors so we can celebrate safely while accommodating varying comfort levels.
Paul College Faculty & Staff Holiday Party
Tuesday, December 14 (Inclement weather date: Thursday, December 16)
3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Paul College Courtyard and Great Hall
Grab your parka, boots, and winter hat and gather together around the fire pits in the Paul College Courtyard to share some holiday cheer! The hors d’oeuvres will be set-up in the Great Hall but the celebration (and bar) will be outdoors so be prepared for winter weather. Dean Deborah Merrill-Sands will lead a toast at 4 p.m. and whoever is wearing the most amazing, over-the-top winter hat will get special recognition. Raffle winners will be announced after the toast.
To add to the festive outdoor ambiance, we’d like to line the courtyard with luminaries but need your help! Early in December we’ll provide departments with a stack of white paper bags and anyone who would like to decorate a luminary (cut out a design, create a pattern with a hole punch, draw something fun) is encouraged to do so. You can drop completed luminaries in Paul College 201E prior to the event or bring with you to set out when you arrive (we’ll provide the battery-operated candles and something to weigh them down).
As the event nears, additional information will be shared on how to pick-up your gifted bottle of Peter Paul wine (non-alcoholic sparkling cider will be offered as an alternative).
