Biography

Micky joined the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics’ Communications and Marketing team in November 2019 as the Multimedia Manager. These days she is directly involved in undergraduate marketing strategy for the college and implements the strategy and management of all its official social media accounts. She also tells its stories as a shooter, editor, and producer of photography and videography.

Before joining the ranks at Paul, Micky worked at Colby College as the Assistant Director of Digital Media doing similar work, with a primary focus on digital strategy and content production. In her first year she was nationally recognized for bringing a visually engaging academics-focused video series to Colby’s audiences, and regionally recognized for incorporating first person accounts of student life into the College’s social media accounts. Prior to her time in higher education, Micky worked as the Photo Editor at the Bangor Daily News, managing a team of four photojournalists and coordinating visual assignments with over 30 newsroom staff, while also working as a full-time photojournalist herself.

Outside of work, Micky can most often be found exploring the outdoors, especially if it has anything to do with the mountains or winter: ice skating, hiking, skiing and snowboarding are her favorite hobbies. When trapped inside she is an avid couch potato, binging the latest television shows or fantasy books alongside her son, husband, dog, and cat.
