U.S. News & World Report has ranked UNH’s online MBA program No. 40 in the nation. The ranking includes programs at 345 U.S. business schools. Offered by UNH’s Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics, the program climbed 11 spots from last year’s No. 51 ranking, and 38 spots since it was first ranked at No. 78 in 2017. It is the highest ranked online MBA program in northern New England.

“Being ranked among the top 50 online MBA programs in the country has been a key goal, and we are very proud to have achieved this,” said Paul College Dean Deborah Merrill-Sands. “We have delivered the online program for seven years, and over the past four years have prioritized this program for continuous innovation and improvement. We believe it best serves New Hampshire and our region.”

From Dean Deborah Merrill-Sands:

All, I am sharing the great news that US NEWS just ranked our On-Line MBA #40. Being ranked in the Top 50 in major US rankings has been a strategic goal for our us and this is the first time we have broken through!. We launched the On-Line MBA program 7 years ago. Over the past four years we have prioritized this program for continuous innovation and improvement since we believe it best serves NH given our topography and demography. We were first ranked #78 in 2017. Last year we got to #51 and this year we broke through to #40. In total, 335 schools were included in the rankings. This is a comprehensive ranking with extensive data collection. Our areas of strength, as reflected in the ranking, are our faculty’s credentials and training and our services and technology.

The On-Line MBA program has grown by almost 150% in credit hours between Fall 2015 and Fall 2019. And, we just admitted 30 new students for this Spring (50% more than last year!). So, we have a great story to tell and we will be spreading the word widely over the next couple of days. Stay tuned and help us to amplify this message on social media as the postings come out.

Many people have worked hard to enable us to reach this goal. I want to especially recognize the excellent work of the team in the Graduate Office, Associate Dean Vicky Parker, Kevin McLaughlin as Faculty Director, Billur Akdeniz as Director for Strategy for the MBA programs, and Sharon Keeler, Director of Marketing and Communications, and, of course, our faculty who teach in the program and deliver a high quality learning experience for our students every day. We have also had great support from UNH Online and the Graduate School.

This is an accomplishment of which we can all be proud. It is a wonderful way to embark on 2020! #Paulpride
