The Department of Management & Entrepreneurship and the Paul College DEI Committee are delighted to announce that nominations are now open for the inaugural Paul College UNITE Awards! Descriptions of each award are provided below.
Unity Award: The Paul College Unity Award recognizes a student and/or a student organization who display a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive community at Paul College. This award honors those who actively engage in efforts that bring students together, promote understanding of peers, and empower members of the student community. Through their actions, they help to build an environment where all students feel valued.
Navigator Award: The Paul College Navigator Award honors faculty and staff at Paul College who actively cultivate a culture of respect and inclusion within our workplace. This award celebrates those who lead by example, illuminate pathways for others, and create spaces where colleagues feel they belong.
Impact Award: The Paul College Impact Award honors any individual or group of individuals (e.g., department, student organization, affinity group) in Paul College who have taken meaningful strides to welcome those outside of Paul College into our community. Recipients may, for example, consistently seek out feedback and input from underrepresented voices on campus; create programs and organize events that help to welcome students joining the community from outside of Paul College; or develop partnerships with businesses, non-profit organizations, or other entities (e.g., other colleges or divisions in the USNH network) that make our community more welcoming and inclusive.
Trailblazer Award: The Paul College Trailblazer Award celebrates an individual or group of individuals (e.g., department, student organization, affinity group) in Paul College who lead with bold ideas and innovative approaches to drive inclusion and accessibility forward. Through their forward-thinking initiatives and courageous leadership, they inspire others to invest in the Paul College community and create new pathways for success.
Excellence Award: The Paul College Community Excellence Award recognizes faculty and staff members that have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to promoting a sense of belonging within the Paul College community through their interactions with students. This award honors those who work to create an environment where students feel respected, valued, and supported to reach their potential. Through their actions and dedication, they help shape a community where everyone has a voice and the opportunity to thrive.
Information you will need to submit:
1. Name of nominee. Nominees must be affiliated with or enrolled at Paul College. Self nominations are welcome!
2. Two to three sentences explaining why the nominee is a worthy recipient of the award based on the above description
3. Name of nominator (optional)
Deadline to submit nominations: December 31, 2024. Recipients will be announced and celebrated during the 2025 Paul College DEI Conference.
