Peter Lane and I are pleased to share the news that the Board of Trustees just approved Jennifer Griffith’s promotion to Associate Professor with tenure effective August 23, 2021.

Jennifer Griffith, associate professor of management

Jenn has been a very strong contributor in the Management Department. Indeed, Jenn’s impressive record of teaching, research, and service led her to be selected as this year’s Outstanding Assistant Professor at UNH. She is a highly rated and innovative teacher who teaches at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In her teaching she emphasizes student engagement and experienced based learning. She has also been a key member of the faculty team developing a new track on Human Capital Strategy and Analytics in the Management department. Jenn is a very active researcher with 27 peer-reviewed articles including 12 papers in journals in the top 20% of impact factors (six of those in the top 10%). Her research focuses on complex workplace issues including diversity, leadership, and managing emotions in the workplace. Her articles have received over 1650 citations. She has been quoted in the popular press numerous times and currently serves as a contributor to ForbesWomen, the arm of Forbes that focuses on women, gender equity, and leadership. She is one of the leaders of our college’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts and currently serves on the new Business Analytics Initiative’s Faculty Advisory Committee. At the university level, Jenn serves as a faculty contributor to an NSF ADVANCE grant awarded to UNH and a faculty fellow for the Prevention Innovations Research Center.

We are very fortunate to have Jenn on our faculty and are delighted that she has been promoted and awarded tenure. Please join us in congratulating Jenn for securing this important milestone in her career.
