Gorkem Turgut "G.T." Ozer

The Decision Sciences Department is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Gorkem Turgut "G.T." Ozer who will be joining UNH in Fall 2021 as an Assistant Professor of Decision Sciences.

Dr. Ozer graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017 with a Ph.D. in Information, Risk, and Operations Management. His research primarily focuses on statistical and machine learning methods applied to large volume and variety data as well as digital transformation through big data and intelligent systems.

After completing his Ph.D., Dr. Ozer held a position at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, as an Assistant Professor of Decision, Operations, and Information Technologies. There he has taught a variety of courses in the area of business analytics including Data Mining and Predictive Analytics, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, and Managing Information Systems: Strategy, Software, and Data. He has also advised D.C. area companies on data centricity and strategy making in technology ecosystems.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Ozer to Paul College. He will be a great addition to our initiative to expand Paul College's research, teaching, and industry engagement in business analytics.
