They have asked that people pick up an personal items off the floors before you leave for Thanksgiving. If you are not coming to campus at this time they will work around any such items carefully.

Winter is just around the corner and with that comes the return of cold temperatures. As an energy efficient and sustainable campus, campus facilities looks to you for assistance. Here are some simple steps to help ensure that all our buildings are running efficiently and effectively.

  • Make sure all windows are closed and secure before leaving.
  • Does a particular room feel cold? This could signify a problem with the system. Please notify Facilities 862-1437.
  • Make sure exterior doors are closed securely, and if they do not close properly please notify Facilities.
  • Power down all computers, electronics and lights in your space before leaving for break.

Please contact Tom at Tom.Trela@unh.edu if you have any questions or concerns.

Dear Colleagues — Weekly COVID-19 testing for faculty and staff who are coming to the Durham campus continues with ConvenientMD at Wildcat Stadium the week of Nov. 16. Testing will be available Monday-Friday (Nov. 16-20), 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 21, 9 a.m.-noon. Please register in advance with ConvenientMD and remember to bring a valid photo ID. Also, if you have not already done so, please update your profile. This is critical to our ability to perform contact tracing. Remember, if you are currently working remotely and have no plans to come to campus, you do not need to participate in the testing program.

REMINDER: Starting Monday, Nov. 30, all faculty and staff will transition to the UNH COVID Lab and the self-swabbing process. All faculty and staff who plan to be on the Durham campus for any purpose between Monday, Nov. 30, and Friday, Jan. 29, must participate in the university’s testing program. If you have not already, please fill out this survey EVEN IF YOU ARE WORKING REMOTELY AND ARE NOT PARTICIPATING IN THE TESTING PROGRAM by Monday, Nov. 16. More information will be forthcoming on how to access testing if the need to come to campus arises.

CONTACT TRACING UPDATE: Because of the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases, the N.H. Department of Health and Human Services will no longer conduct contact tracing for every case, instead placing its focus on people under the age of 18, over the age of 60, those in congregate care settings and healthcare workers. This means UNH Health & Wellness will be the only contact most faculty and staff receive after an abnormal or positive test.

Please continue to remain vigilant. Stay home if you feel sick and continue to follow all public health recommendations around mask wearing, hand washing, physical distancing and illness.

Sincerely,

Paul Dean
Chief of Police /Associate VP for Public Safety and Risk Management and Co-Chair of UNH Testing and Tracing Committee

Marian McCord
Senior Vice Provost for Research, Economic Engagement and Outreach and Co-Chair of UNH Testing and Tracing Committee
