New NH Budget Awards SBDC an Additional $125K per year!

Given UNH's strategic priority on “Embrace NH”, I am delighted to share the excellent news that the new NH FY20-21 budget allocated SBDC an additional $125,000 a year on top of its usual allocation of $315,000! This is the largest single increase SBDC has ever received in any state budget. I think this increased allocation reflects the demonstrated impact of SBDC (celebrated in the recent 35 year anniversary), the close attention State Director Liz Gray and her team gave to moving this budget request forward, the increased visibility for SBDC’s work though out the state, as well as the stronger relationships being built between UNH and our legislators. This is wonderful news and I know that Liz and her team will put these new resources to work in a way that will have important impacts throughout the state.

SBDC is an important outreach and engagement arm for Paul College. Liz serves on the Business in Practice Advisory Board and SBDC collaborates with our Honors Program in identifying small business clients to work with our students on their consulting projects.
