This initiative of the University of New Hampshire has been organized by the Center of Social Innovation and Enterprise in conjunction with the Carsey School of Public Policy, Paul College of Business and Economics, UNH Sustainability Institute, and Net Impact UNH.

We are honored to announce that this year's keynote speaker and Social Innovator of the Year Award recipient is Marina Kim, Co-Founder & Executive Director of Ashoka U. Ashoka U is an initiative of Ashoka, the world’s largest network of social entrepreneurs. Building on Ashoka’s vision for a world where everyone is a Changemaker, Ashoka U aims to impact the education of millions of students by collaborating to help colleges and universities rewire education to more effectively enable, empower, and catalyze student changemakers.

Education for the Future: Mobilizing Changemakers
How is UNH equipping the next generation, our students, with the knowledge and tools to be successful in tackling humanity’s most pressing social and environmental grand challenges? The world is in the midst of transformation – driven by technology, globalization, and generational trends – and the nature of work, education, and leadership are shifting as a result. We need to be prepared to lead in a new way. As colleges and universities work to achieve the mission of creating knowledge, educating and serving their communities, changemaking and social innovation can be powerful lenses for transformation. How can we support this learning in the most powerful way? What changes do we need to see in higher education to live the values of changemaking throughout the campus culture? How can we all live purposefully and contribute to effective impact?
