FAQ: Military Students & the MBA

How many veterans and military students are in the MBA program?

In the 2017-2018 school year, we had 36 veterans out of 279 MBA students.

How many veteran/military students were full-time, part-time or on-line?
In the 2017/2018 school year, 15 of our veteran/military MBA candidates were Part-Time students, 11 were Full-Time, 10 were Online.

How much of the tuition is covered by the GI Bill? What percentage is covered by the Yellow Ribbon pro-gram? What is the end cost to the student?
Every student is different in terms of how much tuition is covered by the GI Bill. There are 7 different per-centages of benefits, starting at 40% going all the way to 100%. UNH has 40 yellow ribbon slots and they are available to eligible students. In order to be eligible, the student must be using the Post 9/11 GI Bill at the 100% rate and they must be an out of state student. There is no cost to the student if they are using the yellow ribbon program.

Is the application fee waived?
Yes!

Is the GMAT waived?
Yes, with 5+ years’ experience. Furthermore, veterans can be reimbursed for any and all mandatory tests: https://www.benefits.va.gov/gibill/national_testing.asp

Is UNH ranked as a military friendly school?

Is there a veterans’ association chapter on campus?
Yes, the Student Armed Forces Association (grad and undergrad both eligible). There is a Students Veterans of America Chapter as well.
