One student turned his internship at KPMG in Boston into a full-time job offer, while another got her foot in the door at Amazon Web Services in Seattle.
These are just a few examples of Paul College students who had amazing internship experiences thanks to the Internship Opportunity Fund (IOF).
The IOF offers stipends of up to $2,500 to help students access high-quality internships, particularly in expensive metropolitan areas or at non-profits, social enterprises, and start-ups that may not offer their own stipends. These funds can be used to cover travel and living expenses that aren't covered by the hourly wages provided by the internship.
The stipends are made possible thanks to the generous contributions of Paul College alumni, in conjunction with the Paul College Dean’s Advisory Board and friends of the college.
“Our alumni support the IOF through the 603 Challenge. Donations from $3.06 to over $3,000 make it possible for students to be able to say yes to internships that otherwise may be out of their financial reach,” says Kim Clark, director of the Business in Practice program. “These internship experiences allow Paul College students to begin building their careers.”
In the summer of 2024, $51,200 in IOF funding helped 23 students pursue valuable internship opportunities.
