Information Systems and Business Analytics and Justice Studies Double Major
A female student sits at a table in the UNH library with her laptop and backpack, smiling at the camera.

Maria Koch '22 is from Brentwood, NH and pursuing a dual major in Information Systems and Business Analytics and Justice Studies. She's a member of the UNH student senate, the Women in Business Club, Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity, and a Paul Scholar and Business Ethics Teaching Assistant.

"I chose Paul because of the tremendous amount of opportunities it has for students to thrive–Paul Scholars being a big reason I initially enrolled! Whether it's research with faculty, participating in the URC with the FIRE Program, or taking BiP classes with industry professionals, there's plenty of room to learn skills you wouldn't necessarily gain in a classroom.

My favorite thing about Paul is the community. No matter what you choose to pursue while you're here, people in Paul will always encourage you to strive to be the best version of yourself. And they're always there to support you when things don't go as planned. Even though the business world is highly competitive, Paul somehow manages to combine that with a feeling of community and family. It's an awesome thing to be a part of.

Make sure you get involved at UNH as soon as you get here. It's cheesy, but time really does fly, and no matter what you do, you'll regret not joining another club or taking that class you always wanted to take! Don't be afraid to get involved outside of Paul, either. UNH has so many opportunities for everybody with different interests."
