What is Voice Z Digital Marketing Agency?

Established in 2019, Voice Z is UNH's very own digital marketing agency run entirely by students. But make no mistake - this isn't just a club. Voice Z associates take on real client projects, collaborate in teams, and get hands-on experience solving genuine marketing challenges.

It's an intensive experience, with Voice Z counting as a two-credit course that meets twice weekly. Yet it's this full immersion that allows Voice Z to develop such impressive, career-ready marketing talent.

The Agency Experience

A big part of Voice Z centers around comprehensive digital audits for clients, including:

  • Social media and website analytics
  • Search engine optimization (SEO) evaluation
  • Content marketing assessment
  • Accessibility and user experience analysis

Based on their findings, Voice Z strategists then work hand-in-hand with clients to execute data-backed marketing initiatives and drive results.

The more time and effort Voice Z associates invest, the more opportunities they unlock. By going above and beyond with agency contributions, stellar performers can be promoted to Senior Marketing Strategist.

At this level, senior strategists take on greater responsibilities like leading client projects and managing full account workstreams. It's the perfect way for Voice Z's top talent to build advanced experience and push their skills even further.

Many clients are supplied by an organizations partnership with the New Hampshire Small Business Development Center, which is also housed within Paul College.

Becoming a Certified Marketing Strategist

It all starts with a competitive application process open to students of any major (not just marketing). Once accepted, Voice Z members dive into a two-credit course that guides their client work. Members start by earning their Hubspot Inbound Marketing Certification. This establishes a powerful foundational knowledge in areas like:

  • Social media strategy and management
  • Search engine optimization (SEO) best practices
  • Email marketing campaigns
  • Content creation and promotion

And with that baseline certification in place, Voice Z associates take a deep dive into exploring and specializing in specific areas of expertise like: Social media tactics; Photography and videography; Search engine optimization (SEO); Project management and leadership; Data and analytics.

Expertise can be developed through a combination of certifications, books, articles, webinars, professional interviews, shadowing, etc. To be officially recognized in an area of expertise, student must present their professional development, findings, and insights to the Agency.
