"I chose Paul because of the great opportunities that came with it. I felt right at home on my recruiting trips here. I loved the building, and all the ways Paul Scholars program was set up to support me. Shoutout to Sean Stewart and Tamara Rury, the staff who direct that program, because they are just awesome. I love the group because it's a bunch of like-minded students who work really hard. Going through college with them makes me want to strive to learn more. They're also an amazing study group! If I ever have trouble with any of the material, they've got my back.
I know everyone keeps saying this, so it's not a super unique thing to love about Paul, but the breakout rooms here are SO nice to study in. I've always loved them, but it's been especially nice to get out of my room and have a fresh spot to take my zoom classes or study since COVID. I'm not sure how this semester would have felt without them.
About football: all of these guys are my brothers. I spend countless hours with them, from time on the field, weight room, and training room, to just having a blast living our lives. The work we put in never ends. And it's tough, no doubt about it. But in the end it's worth it, and I'm incredibly grateful to be able to compete in a sport I love at the collegiate level.
It's been really different here this year, especially socially. From football to class to the weekends... everything has been different. Honestly? It’s a bummer. But I have had a blast living with my roommates and am thrilled to be here at all. I know most college kids across the country aren’t allowed back on campus right now. Playing football, taking classes. It's different, but I prefer it to the alternative.
My advice is to try and meet as many people as possible once you get here. Harder with COVID – but UNH is an amazing spot and the more people you know the better it gets. The more the merrier!"
