I was really nervous about making friends – but now I have people who will stick with me the rest of my life. Through careers and relationships. People I know will be the best men at my wedding someday.

The professors are personable and helpful. I feel challenged but well-supported. Plus, the community is so close-knit – I am always bumping into people I've met through classes.

Through his focus on entrepreneurial studies at the UNH Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics, Cameron Plona is taking his interest in landscaping and plotting out multiple potential career paths.

Becoming a graduate student at the University of New Hampshire was a significant leap of faith for Siro Lopez-Villanueva. Not only did he have to commit to a career change, but he also had to leave his home country behind and start anew. 

Jose Rivera, a student in the MS Accounting program at the UNH Paul College of Business and Economics, grew up in Puerto Rico, where he also earned his undergraduate degree in accounting.

When I first visited here I immediately fell in love with the campus. Paul College is gorgeous! It felt like home. And now that I'm here, it is home.

The blend of math and logic-driven theory in my first microeconomics class immediately got me hooked. Robert Mohr, a professor I now consider a mentor, then encouraged me to switch to the analytical track. And then he helped me fall in love with research through SO many opportunities.

Basketball played a big part in my decision to choose UNH for grad school. I did a lot of research on the college and the MBA program (specifically the accelerated masters). Everything seemed really impressive.

I was inspired to go to business school based on the experiences of people who had studied here. I decided to continue at UNH for grad school because of the interesting finance courses I took.

This was a robust program filled with technology, statistics, mathematics, and analytical tools – and the people here really care.

Don’t be afraid to pursue grad school! I’m so glad I continued my education here.
