During the academic year, Advanced Food and Beverage students studying Hospitality Management delight the UNH community and beyond with a celebration of a special evening. Students are responsible, with instructional guidance from faculty, for all aspects of the event: planning the menu, selling and marketing the event, managing finances, and creating an enjoyable night for all who attend. The "Gourmet Dinner" series is an opportunity for them to apply fundamentals learned through Hospitality Management courses, and get real-world, hands-on experience.
In 2026, the event will commemorate the Hospitality Management program’s 100th anniversary and will be held at Wentworth by the Sea in partnership with Ocean Properties and the Wentworth team. Glenn Haussman, host of the popular hospitality podcast No Vacancy, will speak about his experiences in the field. It will be an exciting evening of celebration, connection, and appreciation for the hospitality industry.

EVENT DESCRIPTION: This late-afternoon/early-evening event will recount the program's history, highlight the accomplishments of numerous alumni, and explore the future of both the program and the hospitality industry.This year's event is Invite Only.
LOCATION: Wentworth by the sea, 588 Wentworth Road, New Castle, NH 03854. Please enter through the front doors of the hotel.
The Experience: Food & Atmosphere
- This year’s event will be slightly different from how it has been held in the past, as there will be no sit-down meal.
- Guests will enjoy a selection of 10 gourmet appetizers stationed throughout the reception space, accompanied by a selection of beverages, including wines from one of our sponsors, Peter T. Paul.
- Alternative Meals: Allergen-free options will be available.
Ticketing & Attendance
- Admission: This's years event is invite-only due to the event being one night only, and given the venue in which the event is being held.
- Policies: Purchases are non-refundable, and the event will run during rain, shine, or snow.
What to Wear
- Attire: Black tie or cocktail attire encouraged. Dress to reflect the elegance and sophistication of the evening.
