Right School, Wrong Reasons

Freshman year, I'll be honest... I found it hard at first.

I was really nervous about this new chapter in my life. UNH wasn't my first choice, but the financial aid package made it possible for me to study abroad. And I knew that was a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

The people, activities, and involvement within the business school quickly made me fall in love with UNH.

So much that I didn't want to go home for winter break!

A Supportive Community

At UNH, you're not just a number. It's common to stop and catch up with professors in the hallway. Paul really is a tight-knit community.

I've gained so many faculty mentors over the years – like James McIlroy, Scott Lemos, and Michael Hanlon. They've all been invaluable resources.

When I joined my fraternity, Sigma Beta, everything about my college experience changed for the better.

They became my support system, encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone and explore new opportunities.

One of my most memorable experiences here was running the Boston Marathon sophomore year in honor of my dad. It was an incredibly challenging feat, but my fraternity brothers took turns motivating me on the phone.

When I finally turned the corner on Boylston Street, they were all there cheering me on. I felt like the happiest kid in the world.

It was also my brothers who encouraged me to join the Professional Sales Group (PSG).

Unbelievable Opportunities

Professional Sales Group is a tight-knit group of driven individuals who know how to have fun while honing their skills.

Beyond PSG, I've been involved in various competitions like Holloway, Stock Pitch, and the PwC Challenge. There are tons of chances at Paul to get out and test what you've learned.

A Well-Rounded Experience

While academics are crucial, balanced is really important in college. In the fall, I love driving to the beach with my buddies for surfing sessions. Once winter arrives, we hit the mountains for skiing adventures.

The location of this school has been perfect for exploring the great outdoors.

And I DID study abroad. In Florence, Italy – a dream come true and one of the best decisions I've ever made. When I returned, my best friends were waiting.

Looking Ahead

As I approach graduation, I can confidently say that my time at UNH has been unbelievable.

The hands-on experiences, supportive community, and well-rounded opportunities have prepared me for personal and professional success.

If you're considering a Finance or Entrepreneurship major, UNH could be the perfect fit for you too.
