Clayton Barrows is Professor of Hospitality Management at the University of New Hampshire where he teaches classes in hospitality management with an emphasis on private club management. He has worked in the hospitality industry and in hospitality education in the US and Canada for over 30 years.
He has published numerous articles in such journals as the Journal of Foodservice Business Research, Service Industries Journal and the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management. Additionally, he has co-authored five books relating to the hospitality industry - most recently, Club Management: The Management of Private Membership Clubs.
Clayton was conferred as an Honourary Fellow by the Council on Hospitality Management Education (UK) in 2016. He was also the winner of the 2008 Stevenson W. Fletcher Achievement Award from I-CHRIE. Finally, he is editor of the International Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Administration, a Taylor and Francis publication.
