“Scaling Social Enterprises through Franchise Models: Rethinking Social Franchise Agreements”
Wednesday, Oct 13
11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

The Rosenberg International Franchise Center (RIFC) has partnered with the International Franchise Association Social Sector Franchise Task Force to present an informative, free, 90-minute virtual conference on social franchising. This October 13th webinar will feature an engaging discussion around topics explored in a recent article published in the UMKC Law Review, “Scaling Social Enterprises through Franchise Models: Rethinking Social Franchise Agreements.”

Two of the article’s authors — Deborah Burand and David Koch — will lead the conversation examining why (and why not) a franchise model might be attractive to social enterprises that seek to scale as compared to alternative growth strategies. Social franchisor Mercado Fresco will also join the program to share learnings from their social franchising agreements.
