Paul College welcomes five new faculty members for AY 25-26


Paul College is excited to welcome five new faculty members this academic year whose expertise spans accounting, finance, marketing, economics, and decision sciences. Joining us are Dan Bens, Dana Gierka, Gabriele Lattanzio, Qingran Li and Ronilo Ragodos, who bring impressive academic and professional experience to the classroom and to their research.

Dan Bens, Professor
Dan Bens joins the Department of Accounting and Finance from INSEAD in France and Singapore, where he served as professor of accounting and control. He earned his Ph.D. in accounting from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. His research focuses on the determinants and effects of discretionary disclosure in financial reports. This fall, he will teach ACFI 850 and ACC 622.

Dana Gierka, Lecturer
Dana Gierka joins the Department of Marketing. Before coming to Paul College, she held leadership roles at Lifecycle Marketing Suzy, Timberland, Piehead & Co., and King Fish Media. She is also the founder of Pep Marketing, which helps brands grow through customer-centric strategies. Gierka earned her M.A. in integrated marketing communication from Lasell College. This fall, she will teach MKTG 547 and MKTG 520.

Gabriele Lattanzio, Assistant Professor
Gabriele Lattanzio will join the Department of Accounting and Finance in January 2026 from the University of Melbourne, where he is currently senior lecturer (assistant professor). His research interests include corporate finance, law, and economics. He earned his Ph.D. in finance from the University of Oklahoma. In spring 2026, he will teach quantitative investments and programming courses in finance.

Qingran Li, Assistant Professor
Qingran Li joins the Department of Economics from Clarkson University, where she was assistant professor of economics and financial studies. Her research uses data-driven analyses to inform environmental policy decisions, including climate policy, energy consumption, and marine policies. She earned her Ph.D. in environmental policy (economics) from Duke University. This fall, she will teach ECON 402.

Ronilo Ragodos, Assistant Professor
Ronilo Ragodos joins the Department of Decision Sciences after earning his Ph.D. in business analytics from the University of Iowa. His research focuses on designing interpretable machine learning models that support decision-making and data analysis in business problems. He has expertise with video, image, text, tabular, and spatio-temporal data. This fall, he will teach ADMN 510.
