"What I miss: UNH games. Getting your UNH gear ready, tats on the face. Also, sitting on T-hall lawn, enjoying the nice weather in between classes. Doing group dinners at HoCo. Those were nice times. And I always looked forward to meeting my friends after class at Union. We would meet there and talk about everything. The highlights of our day. The low points!⁣

Megan Turnbull in Paul CaPS had a big impact on my time at UNH. She's awesome. I went to go visit her for the first time my sophomore year, and ever since she's been such a good mentor to me. She has the same career experience as what I'm looking to get into, so she has all these great tips and advice. She's been such a great support.⁣

Also, Marco Vincenzi. His class was the first class where I realized I really like economics. And I think that's because of the way he taught it, how he really got into it, that made me enjoy it so much.⁣

Favorite Class: I highly recommend "What is a Criminal?" – we explored different people's definitions of what a criminal is and learned about how those perspectives affect the criminal justice system now. For the final project I chose to go to the county jail and speak with two inmates being detained by ICE. I portrayed their stories to the class and challenge them to decide if they thought these people were criminals.⁣

I was really shy as a freshman. I came to campus early through the connect program, which is for minority students. I think it really helped me break out of my shell. That's where I found all the friends I have now! One of them has been my roommate for the past three years. I'm really glad I did it.

Being at UNH, there's definitely a lot of things you can get involved in. I've definitely gained a real sense of independence–which in some ways just comes from leaving home and being in a new place with people you don't even know. I learned how to make my own decisions and focus on my career. I'm more sure of what I want to do with my life. (Which is being a global consultant for a multinational company!) "
