"This is going to sound really cliche, but it all started with my tour. UNH was the first school I came to and it ended up being the only school that I could envision myself walking around, going to classes. When you have a gut feeling about something… you just kind of have to do it!
I wanted to go into business because, well, it actually goes all the way back to when I had a paper route. My favorite thing ever was tracking how much money people owed me. Then in high school I was really involved in business clubs. My grandfather owned a lot of businesses as I was growing up. I guess it was just kind of in my blood.
I was given so many opportunities through UNH Sales. I leveraged different leadership positions, got to do event planning, competitions. It’s an honor now to be the president and to really give back to the group, and teach all the members everything I’ve learned the last few years. Everything’s come full circle.
Favorite Class: Consumer Buyer Behavior with Bruce Pfeiffer. I love understanding why people do things, and combining that with what I was learning in my business classes was just so fascinating. He also really encouraged conversation! Yeah, I love Bruce.
Paul College gave me a family. I know, again, super cliche, but it really did. I basically lived in that building. I’ve never been in an environment that is just so… caring. And so focused on its students. The staff and faculty never give up on us. They really, really care about us. It’s a network of people I can really count on, and that’s only going to grow.
In these last four years I’ve grown so much confidence in myself. I can look at myself in the mirror and say, “Wow. You can do SO much. If you just put your mind to it and don’t give up.” In my freshman year I didn’t see that.
I can’t say anything else other than: I made the right decision four years ago. If I could go back I would make that decision a hundred more times. It really was the best thing for me. "
