UNH AMA Earns National Recognition and Brings Halloween Cheer to Local Hospitals

It’s been a busy semester for the UNH American Marketing Association (AMA) chapter — one marked by national recognition and meaningful community impact.

National Competition Recognition

The UNH AMA Digital Marketing Team earned second place in the American Marketing Association’s National Digital Marketing Competition, sponsored by Gerber Life Insurance.

This is a major accomplishment, as the competition included submissions from universities across the country. The team demonstrated strong strategic thinking, creativity, and analytical rigor throughout their campaign development.

Community Impact: “Boo Baskets” for Local Hospitals

The same group of students, partnering with the UNH Marketing and Advertising Club, extended their creativity beyond the classroom by organizing and delivering Halloween “Boo Baskets” to York Hospital and Exeter Hospital.

Led by student project director Reese Brittingham, the initiative brought smiles to patients and hospital staff through more than 40 baskets filled with treats, toys, coloring books, and handwritten notes from UNH students.

The project began with weeks of planning, donation drives, and a packing event where AMA members assembled the baskets together. Faculty advisor Dana Benner helped coordinate deliveries to Exeter Hospital, while Kate at York Hospital assisted with local arrangements. Both hospitals expressed deep appreciation for the students’ thoughtfulness and community spirit.
