Cryptocurrencies have been at the frontier of financial innovation and fintech application. 14% of Americans own cryptocurrency and many more say they’ll purchase it within the next year. These types of currencies have been exploding in popularity — and all crypto is currently valued at more than $1.6 trillion.
On February 8, with the participation of four expert panelists and hundreds of registered audience, Professor Wenjuan Xie led in-depth discussions about crypto’s history and design, its technology and risks, its features and safety concerns, the opportunities it creates, regulatory efforts, as well as controversies and scandals.
