Lecture Title: Gender Inequalities in the 21st Century

The lecture will explore the remaining pain points on the path to gender equality in the labor market and the role stereotypes play in understanding those remaining pain points. What role do researchers, policymakers, and organizations play in reinforcing stereotypes and what are some suggestions for change?

To find out, attend this year’s Hogan Distinguished Lecture to be given by Marianne Bertrand, one of the world’s most prominent labor economists. A researcher of remarkable breadth whose interests span labor economics, corporate governance and development, her lecture on gender gaps was recently profiled in The Economist as part of an “evolution” that “could transform the field.”
