Six Teams Advance to Holloway Finals

The stage is set for the final round of the Paul J. Holloway Prize Innovation-to-Market Competition.

After a full day of high-energy pitches at the Bud Albin Challenge, six student teams have earned their place in the finals — where they’ll compete for the competition’s top prize of $15,000 on Tuesday, May 5 in the Paul College Marini Auditorium (G75)

The finalists include:

  • Lablincs (Kwasi Owusu-Boateng, King-James Egbe, Nizar Alhalabi, Fatima Hanif)
  • OmniClimb (Ethan O'Leary)
  • Armored Pig Studios (Kinoa Witt, Aidan Cronin, Dylan Nye)
  • Agent Integrator (Shaun Devan)
  • Municable (Arthur Murphy)
  • Burlingame Technologies (David Scholz)

These teams emerged from a competitive semifinal round that featured 20 student ventures. Each team delivered a 10-minute pitch to a panel of industry judges, followed by a 15-minute Q&A that tested not only their ideas, but their ability to think critically and respond in real time.

Now, the focus shifts to what comes next.

The Holloway Competition challenges students to develop a business concept and clearly demonstrate how they will bring it to market — combining innovation, strategy, and execution.

At the finals, teams will compete for significant funding to help turn their ideas into reality:

  • 1st Place: $15,000
  • 2nd Place: $10,000
  • 3rd Place: $5,000

An additional $2,000 Audience Choice Award will be determined by attendees, and each finalist team is guaranteed at least $1,000.

Even teams that did not advance from the semifinals will receive recognition, with cash prizes ranging from $300–$600.
