Steve Irlbeck’s ability to run an engaging classroom recently earned him Paul College’s 2024 Excellence in Teaching Award for Tenure Track Faculty.
Irlbeck, an assistant professor of finance, employs a variety of methods, from competition-style in-class activities to the use of iClickers, and he facilitates on-the-spot discussions and mentors research-oriented projects.
His colleagues joke that he is a “game show host trapped in a professor's body.”
