Graduate Students Build Community

Students playing musical chairs at Grad Student mixer.

Paul College’s Graduate Programs Office hosted a Grad Student Lunch Mixer on Oct.4 to bring the entire program together.

Students from the various programs—Full-time MBA, MS Finance, MS Business Analytics, MS Accounting, PhD Economics, Online Hybrid MBA, and MS Economics—came together to relax, and build community after a busy midterms season.

The event provided a welcoming space for students to connect with peers outside their own cohorts while enjoying a delicious lunch. Attendees participated in two exciting activities that brought out everyone’s competitive spirit—a challenging trivia competition and a playful throwback to the childhood classic, musical chairs.

Laughter and friendly rivalry filled the room, making for a light-hearted and enjoyable afternoon. The mixer was more than just a chance to have fun—it also fostered cross-program networking and strengthened relationships among the diverse graduate student body.

By offering events like these, the Graduate Programs Office continues to support students in maintaining a balance between academic success and social well-being.
