Professor Akdeniz, a recipient of the Paul College Diversity and Inclusion Grant Program, leads the initiative on improving gender diversity in the fields of data science and analytics. One of the goals is to increase awareness, encourage, and engage female students within the Paul College to consider and apply to careers or graduate degrees in data science and analytics. Towards that goal, Professor Akdeniz and Women in Business Club President Lisa Robidoux organized a Women in Data Science and Analytics panel of four UNH alumni, Kendra Carr '12, Angela Lambert '11, Danielle Simpson '14, and Meaghan Foley '15, who spoke on how to build a successful career to WIB members. The CBA was present to explain their mission and how they support our undergraduate students to engage in the data science fields.
