Amanda Leger, URC Program Coordinator

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

Online registration for the 2022 UNH Undergraduate Research Conference (URC) is now open! Please encourage your undergraduate students to present the results of their research, scholarly, and creative projects (e.g., senior theses, capstone projects, class projects) at the 2022 URC, which is expected to take place in person from April 19 to 30, 2022 (plus two additional events in May).

See the URC website for the full calendar of events.

The URC is open to students in ALL majors and disciplines. Now in its 23rd year, the university-wide URC spotlights the research, scholarship, and creativity of undergraduates from all of UNH’s colleges and departments, making it one of the largest and most diverse conferences of its kind in the country!

Registration for the 2022 URC will close at 11:59pm on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

URC presentations may include:
•    Current work underway in the Spring 2022 semester
•    Projects completed during the summer and fall terms of 2021 and J-Term 2022
•    Independent study projects
•    Honors theses and capstone projects
•    Other semester-long or year-long research, scholarly, or creative projects

Faculty play a critical role in making the URC happen. Year after year, students report that a highlight of their URC experience was working closely with their faculty mentors to produce and present their research, scholarly, and creative projects. If you have not served as a URC faculty mentor in the past, we encourage you to do so. You may read more about mentoring for the URC here.

Please help us to spread the word:
•    Make an announcement about URC registration in class.
•    Post an announcement and link to URC registration on your Canvas course.
•    Encourage your students to participate in the URC.
•    Be a URC research mentor.

If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Amanda Leger. We look forward to seeing you at this year’s URC!

Sincerely,

Amanda Leger
