Recent research by Assistant Professor Steve Irlbeck and University of Iowa's Tippie College of Business Thomas Berry-Stoelzle was accepted for publication at the Journal of Corporate Finance (A* on ABDC list). This research provides evidence that the local religiosity at firms' headquarters and consumers' religious affiliations impact corporate risk taking. The relationship between the religious affiliation of consumers and corporate risk taking is concentrated in firms with one salient market.
