The NH Social Venture Innovation Challenge (SVIC) is up and running and accepting submissions from students. The SVIC invites students (as individuals or in teams of up to 5 members) from across the state to identify pressing social, environmental or economic issues at the state, national or global level, and develop innovative, sustainable, business-oriented ideas to solve them.
This is an IDEA competition and an excellent applied learning project for your students; no detailed business plans or financials needed. Entrants write a 2-page paper and create a 3-minute video explaining the solution to the problem identified. Please share with your students - it's a great way for them to apply what they're learning in your classrooms to test out their problem-solving skills.
Competition details and deadlines can be found here: https://www.unh.edu/sustainability/changemaker-collaborative/programs/nh-social-venture-innovation-challenge
The SVIC is organized by the Changemaker Collaborative, a partnership of Paul College, Carsey and the Sustainability Institute.
