Open House 2/28/20

Center for Social Innovation & Enterprise, Semester in the City

Please join the Center for Social Innovation & Enterprise for the Semester in the City Open House on February 28th to visit the program, learn more and meet the Spring cohort. We love to have UNH Faculty and staff join us, along with students – FREE BUS! Register here.

Can't join us but know students who could benefit from real-world experience or would like to see what the program is all about? Let them know about the Open House.

Since 2017 109 UNH students have had the opportunity to spend a full academic semester integrating high impact learning as part of the UNH degree. It was wonderful to have UNH Provost Wayne Jones join us in Boston in December, as the SITC graduation speaker. The most recent cohort shared impressive presentations, thoughtfully reflecting on their high-impact learning in the community. SITC is available to UNH students through our partnership with College for Social Innovation and also to students from other universities through our role as the University of Record.

During the program, students:

  • Intern at a mission-driven organization with a mentor (30+ hours/week)
  • Earn 16 UNH credits (many majors accept credit, students should work with advisors to plan)
  • Attend weekly reflective and skill-building courses
  • Try out the real-world with plenty of support
