Dr. Safayat Hossain is an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Paul College of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire. He joined Paul College in the Fall of 2019 and has taught Advanced Accounting, and Financial Statement Analysis. Earlier, he earned his PhD in Accounting from Florida International University.

Dr. Hossain’s research areas include empirical financial accounting and auditing. His research primarily focuses on non-equity financing and financial reporting quality. Dr. Hossain has presented his works at peer-reviewed conferences and received Best Paper Award at the AAA Southeast Regional Conference.
