Sharon Keeler is Integrated Marketing Director for the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics and UNH Marketing. She leads a team responsible for creating the stories, events, marketing and advertising campaigns that move people to become involved with, support and advance the efforts of the Paul College and UNH.
Sharon has more than 30 years experience in marketing and communications, the majority spent in public higher education. She returned to UNH in 2015—where she worked as a science writer and media relations officer from 1990 to 2005—after spending 10 years at Arizona State University. At ASU Sharon was most recently chief media officer for the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, where she directed a team of storytellers focused on external and internal communications and marketing and on social media. Prior to that, she was director of ASU Media Relations & Strategic Communications, where she managed the university’s media strategy and staff across five campuses for more than nine years. Before joining higher education, Sharon worked in corporate communications and marketing at Chubb LifeAmerica and as a sports and education reporter at the Salem Observer.
Outside of work, Sharon loves just about anything outdoors, particularly when it involves the ocean. For fun, she scuba dives, body boards, hikes, travels, gardens, cooks, tackles DIY home projects and walks her dogs.
