Gonzalo E. Basante Pereira is an assistant professor of Economics. His research explores the aggregate consequences and mechanisms behind differences in the performance of firms across sectors and countries, with particular focus on the role of financial frictions. He regularly teaches the Ph.D. program’s international trade, an undergraduate introductory-level macroeconomics course, and an advanced undergraduate course on financial economics.
