William Rosenberg

Renowned entrepreneur and franchise pioneer William Rosenberg (June 10, 1916 – Sept 20, 2002) was the founder of Dunkin’ Donuts, as well as the International Franchise Association (IFA).

His papers and personal effects were donated to the UNH Dimond Library by his wife, Ann Rosenberg, where they are archived as a special collection. The materials in this archive are available for use in research, teaching, and private study.

This important collection includes photographs and clippings from newspapers and magazines amassed by Rosenberg, his business associates and family members, and chronicles the operations of Industrial Luncheon Services, Dunkin' Donuts, and the IFA.

The highlight of the collection is an original draft of the IFA's by-laws with Rosenberg's hand-written notes and comments.

Of special interest is a photo-chronicle of Bill and Ann's 1982 six-week trip to Asia to survey Dunkin' Donuts stores in that region.

Also included are materials related to Wilrose Farms, Rosenberg's equine breeding estate in East Kingston, NH, and documents related to harness racing, a favorite pastime of his.
