Family Business Annual Awards

Each year, Family Business Program members (companies and individuals) are recognized for their outstanding achievements in business leadership and excellence. Awards are presented at The Family Business Annual Awards Dinner event. In addition to the dinner and celebration, the evening's festivities include a keynote speaker who offers insights on the role, importance, challenges, and successes of family businesses.

Family Business Of The Year Award

This award honors an outstanding, multi-generation, family-owned business.

Lifetime Achievement Award

This award honors members of the senior generation for their commitment to family business success and their contributions to the successful, harmonious transfer of business to the next generation.

Based in Nashua, NH, W.H. Bagshaw Company is the oldest pin manufacturer in America. Established in 1870, this family owned business has successful transferred from generation to generation and is now lead by 5th generation family members, Aron and Adria Bagshaw.

Their company epitomizes everything our award celebrates. They’ve also been recognized for thier business achievements and community engagement by the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce, and the NH Small Business Association, winning 2021 Small Business of The Year, and 2018 Jeffrey Butland Family Owned Small Business Award respectively.

David Greer, CEO, Wire Belt Company of America

David Greer, CEO of Wire Belt Company of America, is the 2021 recipient of the Family Business Lifetime Achievement Award. 

Wire Belt Company of America (WBCA) is a multi-generational, family-owned company originally founded in 1919 by J.W. Greer to manufacture automated confectionary and baking equipment. 

David took over as CEO in 1980. Under his leadership,  WBCA has been recognized several times as one of Business NH Magazine's "Best Small Companies To Work For", winning the honor of "#1 Small Company To Work For" three times (thus far!).
