Gourmet Dinner

 

During the academic year, Advanced Food and Beverage students majoring in Hospitality Management delight the UNH community and beyond with a gourmet dining experience. 

Students are responsible, with instructional guidance from faculty, for all aspects of the event: planning and preparing the menu, selling and marketing the event, managing finances, and creating an enjoyable night for all who attend. The "Gourmet Dinner" series is an opportunity for them to apply fundamentals learned through Hospitality Management courses, and get a real-world, hands-on experience. 

Tickets are sold out for the 2024 Gourmet Dinner.

Deviled Eggs, Escargot Stuffed Mushrooms, Steak and Potato Bites with French Blanc de Blanc

Course 2:

Roasted Cauliflower Soup with Sonoma Coast, Chardonnay 

Course 3:

Fall Harvest Salad with New Jersey Hard Cider 

Course 4:

Sautéed Shrimp Scampi and Asparagus Risotto with New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc 

Course 5:

Duck L'Orange and Wild Rice Pilaf with French Pinot Noir  

Course 6:

Pistachio Crusted Lamb Chops and Potato & Parsnip Puree with Sonoma Coast Merlot 

Course 7:

Old Fashioned Butter Tart, Rice Pudding, Chocolate-Vanilla Tarts

A full-service dining experience!

Gourmet Dinner takes place at UNH Paul College on 10 Garrison Avenue in Durham, NH. The dinner is set in our building's Great Hall. Please enter through the main entrance off Garrison Avenue. It is the front of the building and brings you to the first floor.

A seven-course meal with beverage tastings! 

We will be serving a seven-course meal with each item being accompanied by a wine, cider, or nonalcoholic beverage of your choice. 

The Fundamentals:

  • Purchases are not refundable.
  • The dinners will be held rain, shine or snow.
  • Alternative meals, due to food allergies or vegetarian diets, are available for the event. While we certainly respect dietary choices, we're unable to create additional menus for those with likes and dislikes. If you have allergies to anything, please disclose that on the ticketing website when you purchase your ticket.
  • Our green mission: food scraps are composted through UNH dining, and we strive to buy local when feasible and available. We do recycle.

What to Wear:

Please wear attire that is suitable for a gourmet dining experience. This year guests are encouraged to dress to impress wearing earthy tones and florals. We want you all to feel like you are a part of the renaissance!  

Cancelations & Ticket Transfers

Refunds are NOT available. However, if there is availability you are able to switch your ticket for a different night if there are conflicts with your original purchase.

Dining Events

While the event begins at 5:00 PM, times of arrival depend on what ticket is purchased and range from 5:25 - 5:45PM. First seating begins at 5:25PM. It is recommended that you arrive 15 minutes before your designated seating time. Before being seated, enjoy a glass of champagne and take a look at our silent auction items!
