About The Award

Bestowed annually at the International Society of Franchising (ISoF) Conference, this award honors an individual who is making outstanding contributions to scholarship in the field of franchise research. 

Recognition and Benefits

The award recipient receives a $2,500 USD cash prize from the Rosenberg International Franchise Center (RIFC), a complimentary ISoF conference registration, and a plaque commemorating this prestigious award.

Eligibility Requirements

The following is required to be considered for this award:

  1. The candidate must have a current and active research agenda focused on publishing articles in top tier academic journals to advance scholarship in franchising.
  2. The candidate must be available to attend and give an acceptance speech at the respective annual ISoF conference.

Judging Criteria

Selection for the current calendar year's award will be based on:

  1. The candidate’s research publications in top-tier academic journals focused on franchising over the preceding two-year calendar period.
  2. The candidate’s potential to bring enhanced visibility to the RIFC and ISoF.

Judging Process

A panel consisting of the ISoF Board and the Director of the RIFC will select the award recipient.
