During the academic year, students majoring in hospitality management in the Advanced Food and Beverage class delight the University community and beyond with a gourmet dining experience. The Gourmet Dinner and Brunch series are an opportunity for students to apply fundamentals learned through classes in the hospitality management program, and give the students real-world, hands-on experience. Students are responsible, with instructional guidance from faculty, for all aspects of the event: planning and preparing the menu, selling and marketing the event, managing finances, and creating an enjoyable night for all who attend.
The hospitality management program has a goal of educating students who will become stronger and more engaged hospitality industry professionals with the potential to be highly competitive in the global business arena.
Hospitality management students are eligible for UNH and Paul College scholarships in addition to nearly $100,000 in scholarship endowment funds provided by program alumni specifically for prospective and current students in the hospitality management program.
The Hospitality Management Summer Program is a one week program to immerse high school rising seniors in a mini-hospitality program. While living on the UNH campus, summer program students experience the excitement of college life, take college courses with renowned faculty, meet hospitality students, and enjoy an unforgettable, life-changing summer. This first-class introduction to hospitality management is taught at UNH's world-renowned Department of Hospitality Management, currently one of oldest programs in the country.
