Michael R. Kukenberger is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior in the Management Department at the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics within the University of New Hampshire. Prior to coming to UNH, Kukenberger served as an Assistant Professor in the School of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Michael received the B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Maine, M.B.A. from the University of New Hampshire and Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut’s School of Business.

Michael’s primary areas of research include shared and team leadership, team effectiveness, and team and individual learning. Michael’s work has been published in the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Human Relations and Group and Organizational Management.

Consulting in the area of leadership and team dynamics, Michael has worked with several Fortune 500 (e.g., GE Aviation, Xerox, Alcoa, etc.) and Global 1000 companies, the armed services (i.e., U.S. Army) and the Center for Disease Control. Prior to earning a Ph.D., Michael worked as a management consultant engaged with such firms as Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, BAE Systems, Eastern Mountain Sports, Public Television, Holt Rinehart & Winston and Amgen Biotech. Michael is an active member of the Academy of Management and the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
