Biography:

Peter F. Masucci is an full-time Adjunct Professor of Marketing at the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire, where he teaches/has taught graduate-level MBA courses in Marketing Management, Marketing Research, Market Research for Emerging Technologies, New Product Development, and Advertising and Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC), as well as undergraduate marketing courses in the Principles of Marketing, Market Opportunities Analysis, Advertising and IMC, Marketing Research, Consumer Behavior, and Marketing Workshop, the capstone course for marketing majors at Paul College.  Mr. Masucci also taught Product Development and Marketing in the Management of Technologies (MOT) graduate program, and has taught International Management and Explorations in Entrepreneurship for the Management Department.  He also teaches graduate-level courses in Strategic Marketing Planning, IMC, Emerging Communications Technologies and Online Marketing Communications, part-time at the Simmons College School of Management, in Boston.

In addition to teaching, Mr. Masucci served as the Chair of the UNH Undergraduate Research Conference (URC) Planning Committee in 2011 and 2012, and as Chair of the business school URC from 2006 to 2010.  The URC at UNH is the largest multi-disciplinary, single institution event of its kind in America.  He also served as the faculty advisor to the UNH Marketing and Advertising Club from 2004 to 2011.  In 2006 Mr. Masucci was inducted as a member of the UNH chapter of the Golden Key International Honour Society, and he received the 2006 “Excellence in Teaching Award” from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics (now the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics) at UNH, and the “Bernstein Teaching Service Award” from Simmons College in 2007.

Prior to his career in teaching, Mr. Masucci worked in the high-technology industry for more than 30 years.  His career gave him extensive experience in the areas of marketing and general management, and he held a variety of positions with companies in the computer, software, telecommunications, Internet and aerospace industries.  Prior to his move into teaching, his last position was as a founding partner of VX Management Group, an executive-level management and marketing consulting firm, headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  His professional career also included work with both large, publicly held companies, as well as with several small, pre-IPO start-ups in roles of increasing management responsibility.  He has worked in all facets of the marketing and general management functions during his career at such companies as FutureTense/Open Market, PictureTel, Sequoia Systems, Migration Software Systems, Alliant Computer Systems and Digital Equipment Corporation.  Prior to these assignments, he spent five years in the Aerospace industry as a project engineer at Rockwell International, in Downey, California, where he worked on the Apollo and Skylab manned spacecraft programs, and he conducted spacecraft trajectory analysis research for NASA at the Electronics Research Center, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Mr. Masucci received a BS degree in Aerospace Engineering from Boston University, and an MBA degree from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts.  He has lectured on a variety of marketing topics at industry conferences around the world and authored several articles on product positioning and marketing.  He was a featured speaker at a MIT Enterprise Forum workshop on marketing, and served as a judge in the New Hampshire State Business Plan Competition.  He currently serves as an advisor to Regaalo, Inc., a start-up company offering online and mobile gift-giving services for college students living away from home.  Regaalo was founded by several of Mr. Masucci's former UNH students.  Born and raised in Boston, Mr. Masucci now lives at Moody Beach in Wells, Maine.
